Located in Denison Street between Archer and Cambridge Streets in Rockhampton, the Archer Park Rail Museum offers a railway experience like no other.

A steam train will rumble into a station and you can eavesdrop on conversations of passengers and railway workers from days gone by. This revolutionary Digital Soundscape system creates an interactive and immersive portal into the past.

Take a ride on a real locomotor on weekends, the fully restored Purrey Steam Tram is believed to be the only one of its kind in the world and is a fabulous relic of Rockhampton's tram history that takes all the way back to 1909.

You’ll get to discover the story of how rail-based transportation transformed the region into major central Queensland powerhouse. You’ll also discover the story of the unique Purrey Steam Tram.

Admission prices are $9 for adults with discounts for concession card holders including seniors, students and Health Care Card holders and for children.
